Therapy With Stephanie Cole

A space to pause, reflect, and find your path

Integrative Therapy in Brighton and Online

Something may have felt off for a while now. It could be the way anxiety shows up, or how you keep pushing through even when your body's telling you to stop. It might be grief that hasn’t eased, or a health diagnosis that’s changed how you move through the world.

Therapy isn't about having everything sorted or knowing exactly what needs to change. What matters is that you're ready to explore what feels true for you, even when it's uncomfortable. I'll be here to help you do that without rushing you or trying to fix you, at whatever pace feels right.

I'm Stephanie, a BACP registered integrative psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working with adults. I offer in-person sessions in Brighton and online therapy across the UK.

My practice is LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirmative. I often work with people navigating chronic health conditions, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, identity shifts, and life transitions.

Whether you're looking for short-term support through a specific challenge or longer-term exploration, I work collaboratively with you to create a space where you can begin to make sense of what's happening. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing on humanistic and psychodynamic practices with attention to the body-mind connection.

What Therapy Can Offer

Therapy can offer space to slow down and explore what's felt overwhelming, especially when you're struggling with your emotions, feeling disconnected, or caught in patterns that no longer serve you. We work together to help you understand yourself with more clarity and compassion.

My role is to create a calm, supportive space where all aspects of your experience are welcome. We’ll pay attention to how stress and disconnection affect your nervous system, shaping how you relate to yourself and others.

How I Can Support You

I'm experienced in supporting people living with chronic health conditions and the particular challenges that come with managing ongoing illness, pain, or fatigue.

I also work with people in performance-based or high-pressure roles who are feeling burnt out, disconnected, or struggling with the weight of expectation. If you're experiencing identity shifts, whether related to health, sexuality, gender, or major life changes, I offer a space where all of you is welcome.  My practice is LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirmative.

Getting Started

Whatever's brought you here, whether it feels urgent or like something you've been sitting with for years, we can explore it together at a pace that feels manageable.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation call where we can talk about what's bringing you to therapy and see if we're a good fit for working together.

There's no pressure, just a chance to ask questions and get a sense of how I work.

Some Issues I Work With

I work with adults navigating a wide range of issues, such as:

  • Anxiety, depression and low mood
  • Stress
  • Grief
  • Life transitions
  • Chronic illness and health concerns
  • Exploring late-identified ADHD, Autism, AuDHD

Location

In-person sessions are located at my practice in Brighton: 57 Ship Street, Brighton BN1 1AF. The practice is about a 10-minute walk from Brighton station, close to the seafront. There's a bus stop nearby and paid parking available in the area if you're driving.

Face-to-face sessions are available in Brighton on Monday afternoons and Tuesdays (morning and afternoon).

Please note that the practice is on the second floor and there's a hill up from the station, so it's not wheelchair accessible. If accessibility is a concern, please get in touch and we can discuss online sessions as an alternative.

Online sessions run on Wednesdays and Thursdays via Zoom, offering flexibility if you're managing health issues, have a busy schedule, or simply feel more comfortable in your own space.

Fees

  • Initial Consultation – 20 minutes via Zoom – Free
  • Individual Therapy Sessions – 50 minutes – £45 to £75 (sliding scale)

Payment is made before each session via bank transfer. I'll send you my details once we've arranged our first session together.

I offer a sliding scale from £45 to £75 per session to make therapy more accessible to people with different financial circumstances. My low-income slots are currently limited, and there's often more demand than availability. Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss what works for your situation.

I ask for a week's notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Life happens, and I'll always try to work with you depending on your circumstances. However, I do charge for sessions that are missed without sufficient notice, as that time has been reserved for you.
